Historical Echoes First-person performances for 2020 - Adapts to COVID
The COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted our lives in ever-evolving ways. For us at Historical Echoes, it has been disappointing but necessary to cancel our in-person Matinees with Refreshments at least through September.

Following the lead of so many who have adapted to the need for social distancing and limited group size. We are excited to dip our toes into the virtual world and open performances to home bound persons or people across the country. Spread to invitation for them to respond at

  • Thanks so much for an excellent presentation today about Willa Cather. It was informative and delightful.

  • I am excited about all the new reading possibilities. I also appreciated the zoom process more than I anticipated – you made this work! Thanks.

  • Now I've learned about another woman in history. The Matinee box was wonderfully packaged!

  • " We attended the program at the Arboretum on Sunday afternoon. Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the tea and programs. Informative, enjoyable and the tea was a delight. It reminded me of tea on the lawn in the Lake District of northern England last spring. Thank you for all your research and efforts to make it a special afternoon!" — Attendee Comments

  • "This is a fun and productive way to learn real history about important women who challenged and changed history" — College Student

  • I loved participating with all of the personalities, but especially enjoyed Louise Thaden and real aviation! — Nursing Home Resident
